Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR Lens Bundle camera lens

DX zoom with 24-120mm equivalent

The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR is a zoom lens covering a 24-120mm-equivalent range on DX-format cameras. Its variable f/2.8-4 aperture helps in low light and gives depth-of-field control. Four extra-low dispersion and three aspherical elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations for sharp images. Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings cut flare and ghosting in bright or backlit scenes.

Replaces slower kit zooms

The constant f/2.8 start and four-stop Vibration Reduction let you shoot handheld in dimmer conditions where a typical kit lens would force higher ISO or a tripod. The wider 16mm end adds interior and landscape flexibility that narrower zooms miss. Upgrading makes sense when you need one lens for travel, events and everyday shooting without swapping glass. Buyers who want a constant aperture through the whole range or full-frame coverage should look elsewhere.

Simple F-mount attachment

The lens mounts on compatible Nikon DX bodies like any AF-S optic and communicates aperture electronically via the E diaphragm. The bundle adds a 72mm filter kit, a cap keeper and a cleaning kit so you can protect the front element and keep it clean straight away. The HB-75 hood bayonets on securely but can be reversed for storage. No firmware step is required; just attach, switch VR on and shoot.
