24.3MP Full-Frame DSLR Kit

The Nikon D610 pairs a 24.3MP FX-format CMOS sensor with a versatile 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR lens. It targets enthusiasts moving to full-frame who want high-resolution stills and 1080p video in a single package. Dual SD slots provide flexible storage handling for extended shoots.

39-Point AF and ISO 100-25,600

The 39-point autofocus system with nine cross-type sensors locks onto subjects quickly across the frame. Native ISO 100-6400 expands to 25,600 for low-light work, though noise becomes noticeable at the highest settings. Continuous shooting reaches 6 fps, sufficient for moderate action but not fast sports bursts.

VR Lens and HDMI Output

The bundled 24-85mm lens adds vibration reduction for steadier handheld shots at slower shutter speeds. HDMI allows uncompressed video recording to an external recorder, useful for serious videographers. Buyers needing 4K resolution, higher frame rates, or a faster maximum aperture will find this kit limiting.

Questions about this item

Will the kit lens autofocus with my older AF-D lenses?

The included 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR lens has a built-in focus motor for autofocus on this body; AF-D lenses also autofocus because the D610 retains an in-body screw drive.

How can I verify the 39-point AF system is locking on correctly?

Use the single-axis level in the viewfinder or dual-axis level in live view to confirm horizontal alignment, then check focus points illuminate on the 3.2-inch 921,000-dot LCD during half-press.

Does the box include memory cards for the dual SD slots?

The kit supplies the D610 body, 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR lens, battery, charger, strap, eyepiece cap and body cap; SD cards are not included and must be purchased separately.
