Nikon Z50 mirrorless camera kit

The Nikon Z50 is a compact mirrorless camera with a 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 6 processor. It comes as a kit with a 16-50mm VR lens, a 32GB card and a flash. The camera is aimed at creators who want a lightweight system for stills and 4K video.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that you use Nikon Z-mount lenses, as the 16-50mm VR lens supplied is a Z-mount optic. Check that your existing accessories such as batteries, chargers and memory cards match the camera's requirements. Ensure your computer or editing software can handle 4K Ultra HD video files from this camera.

Upgrade path and when it matters

This kit replaces an older DX DSLR or entry-level mirrorless body for users who want a smaller form factor and the Z-mount system. The jump is worth it if you need 4K video, an ISO range of 100-51200 expandable to 204800, and a 16-50mm VR zoom in one purchase. It is not for photographers who require a full-frame sensor or dual card slots.
