DX-Format Mirrorless Kit

The Nikon Z 30 pairs a 20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor with the NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR lens for a compact stills and video kit. It captures 4K UHD footage and targets creators who want an APS-C system that is light enough for daily carry.

Zoom Lens and Autofocus

The included power-zoom lens covers a 2.3x range from 12mm to 28mm and uses a stepping motor for smooth, quiet focus pulls during recording. Vibration Reduction helps steady handheld shots, while the hybrid AF system with 209 points tracks subjects across a wide area of the frame.

Telephoto Expansion

A second NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR lens extends reach for distant subjects without adding bulk. The jump is worth it when you regularly shoot beyond 28mm equivalent and want a matched DX telephoto that shares the same filter size and VR performance. Buyers who need wider than 12mm or faster constant apertures should look elsewhere.
