Hybrid stills and video camera

The Nikon Z 6II is a 24.5MP full-frame mirrorless body built for creators who shoot both high-resolution stills and 4K Ultra HD video at 60p. Dual EXPEED 6 processors deliver fast image processing and deep buffer capacity for extended bursts. A 273-point Hybrid AF system adds improved Eye-Detection AF and simpler AF mode selection. Wireless connectivity links the camera to smartphones and laptops for quick file transfer and remote control.

Check lens mount and card format

Verify that your lenses use the Nikon Z mount or that you have a compatible adapter for F-mount glass. The body accepts two memory cards, so confirm you own supported card types for the dual slots. Ensure your editing workflow can handle 4K 60p footage and high-resolution RAW files. If you rely on a single card slot or older mount, plan for the appropriate accessories before ordering.

Fits a dual-slot workflow

Dual card slots let you separate RAW stills from video, create instant backups or overflow onto a second card without changing media mid-shoot. The 273-point Hybrid AF covers a wide area for subject tracking in both orientations. Wireless links free you from cables when moving files to a phone or laptop. This body suits hybrid shooters who need speed, low-light reach and flexible storage in one package.

Questions about this item

Does the body include a memory card or do I need to buy one separately?

The body is supplied without a memory card; you will need to purchase at least one XQD or CFexpress Type B card for the primary slot and an SD card for the second slot.

Is the 24.5 MP sensor better suited to low light than a higher-resolution alternative?

The 24.5 MP BSI sensor’s larger pixels gather more light per pixel, giving cleaner high-ISO images and the outstanding low-light performance noted in the description.

How does the 273-point Hybrid AF behave when shooting 4K 60p video?

The 273-point Hybrid AF maintains focus on moving subjects during 4K 60p recording, with Eye-Detection AF available for people and animals.
