Compact mirrorless kit for creators

The Nikon Z50 II pairs a 20.9-megapixel DX-format sensor with the versatile 16-50mm zoom, giving aspiring photographers and videographers a lightweight system that fits in a small bag. Its 3.2-inch LCD and EXPEED 7 processor deliver detailed images from ISO 100 to 51200, expandable to 204800.

Simple lens mount and cloud profiles

The Z mount accepts the full NIKKOR Z lineup, so swapping glass is straightforward. Thirty-one built-in Picture Controls plus downloadable Cloud Picture Controls let you apply looks instantly, though custom presets require a Nikon Imaging Cloud connection. Firmware updates keep subject detection current.

Burst speed and 4K 60p headroom

Continuous shooting reaches 30 fps with Pre-Release Capture, handling fast action and fleeting expressions. Video records 4K UHD at 60p and Full HD at 120p for slow motion, while nine AI subject modes track people, animals and vehicles. Extended telephoto reach or wider apertures need additional lenses.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Z50 II is focusing correctly after turning it on?

Enable the subject-detection display in the viewfinder or on the 3.2-inch LCD; when the camera locks onto one of the nine recognised subjects — people, dogs, cats, birds or vehicles — a focus box will track it in real time, confirming the AF system is working as intended.

What comes with the 16-50mm kit and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the Z50 II body, the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm lens, a rechargeable Li-ion battery, USB charging cable, strap and documentation; you will need to buy an SD card and any additional lenses or accessories separately.

Which version of the Z50 II kit should I choose for 4K 60p video?

This 16-50mm kit delivers the full 4K UHD 60p capability of the Z50 II along with the versatile zoom range; select it if you want an all-in-one starter package for both stills and high-frame-rate video.
