The 24.5MP FX-Format Camera

The Nikon Zf is a compact mirrorless camera built around a 24.5MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and the EXPEED 7 image processor. It is designed for photographers and creators who want a full-frame sensor in a body styled after classic SLRs. The camera captures UHD 4K video at 30p and Full HD at 120p for versatile content creation.

Lens Mount and Accessory Checks

Verify that your existing lenses use the Nikon Z mount or obtain the appropriate FTZ adapter for F-mount glass. Ensure you have Z-mount compatible accessories such as battery packs and remote controls. The 3.2" vari-angle touchscreen and dual card slots require UHS-II media for full buffer performance.

Upgrade Path and High-Res Gains

This body replaces earlier Z-series cameras that lack the 96MP High-Res Mode and 5-axis in-body vibration reduction. The jump is worthwhile when you need subject-recognition AF with 3D tracking and the dedicated monochrome picture controls. It is not suited for buyers who require higher continuous frame rates than the processor provides.
