This one-metre OM4 multimode patch cable uses 50/125 µm fibre with LC/UPC connectors on both ends. It is built for high-throughput links in data centres, campus backbones and dense patch-panel environments. The aqua PVC jacket is OFNR riser rated for vertical runs between floors. Backward compatibility with existing 50/125 µm LED-based systems is maintained.

Sustained bandwidth over distance

OM4 specification provides an Effective Modal Bandwidth of 4700 MHz/km at 850 nm, supporting 10 Gb links up to 550 m and 40 Gb or 100 Gb links up to 150 m. Insertion loss stays below .3 dB and return loss exceeds 35 dB, preserving signal integrity over long, continuous transmissions. The duplex construction keeps transmit and receive paths separate for full-duplex operation. It is not suited for single-mode distances or wavelengths outside the 850 nm VCSEL window.

Thermal noise and power profile
