A 6 ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable supporting 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 165 Hz, HDR and 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
This cable links a DisplayPort 1.4 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display over a six-foot run. It carries the full 32.4 Gbit/s HBR3 bandwidth with four lanes and supports Display Stream Compression 1.2. The male-to-male connectors are VESA compliant and rated for HDR10 with up to 32 audio channels.
A jump is worthwhile when the current link cannot sustain 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with 10-bit colour and HDR. If the existing cable already passes HBR3 and DSC 1.2 without errors, the upgrade brings no visible benefit.
At 5K it manages 120 Hz with the same colour depth. Bandwidth headroom ends at the 32.4 Gbit/s ceiling, so 8K above 60 Hz or 4K above 165 Hz would require a faster interface or heavier compression not supported by this cable.

It has two standard-size DisplayPort 1.4 male plugs, one at each end of the 6 ft cable.
Either end fits the source or the display because both connectors are identical male plugs; just push straight in until the latch clicks — do not force it sideways.
The braided jacket and aluminum shells are passive shielding; they do not wear out, so the cable only needs replacing if a connector is physically damaged.
