Connect DVI and HDMI devices

The Nippon Labs DVI-3-HDMI is a 10 ft cable with a male HDMI connector on one end and a male DVI-D connector on the other. It links DVI-equipped computers or source devices to HDMI displays, and HDMI sources to DVI monitors. The gold-plated contacts and oxygen-free copper conductors support high-bandwidth uncompressed video transmission.

Resolution limited to 1920 x 1200

The cable carries video signals up to 1920 x 1200 pixels, which covers 1080p and similar high-definition formats. It does not transport audio, so a separate audio connection is required when the source outputs sound over HDMI. Bandwidth is sufficient for single-link DVI resolutions but cannot drive higher refresh rates or larger frame buffers beyond the stated limit.

Simple plug-in with one common issue

Both ends are male, so the cable plugs directly into the HDMI and DVI ports without adapters. The 10 ft length gives flexibility for device placement in home-theater or office setups.
