Dual-carabiner plastic clip for everyday carry

The Nite Ize S-Biner #8 is a black plastic S-shaped connector with two opposing gates. It weighs 115 grams and measures 28 inches long by 2 inches wide overall. Each gate opens 1.5 inches, allowing quick attachment to straps, loops or rings. The wire-lock mechanism helps prevent accidental release during use.

Gate clearance limits what fits through each end

The 1.5-inch gate opening sets the maximum strap, ring or tube diameter that can pass through. Thicker webbing, large D-rings or bundled cables wider than this will not engage. The glass-filled nylon body resists corrosion but is not rated for overhead lifting or life-safety loads. One-year parts and labor coverage applies to manufacturing defects only.

1.5-inch gate clearance decides compatibility

Check the width of every strap, loop or hardware eye you plan to connect; anything exceeding 1.5 inches will not pass the gate. The single-unit pack includes an instruction guide and carries UPC 094664019294. Buyers needing larger gate openings or metal construction for structural loads should select a different connector.

Questions about this item

Which size S-Biner should I pick for a 1.5 inch gate opening?

The #8 model provides a 1.5 inch gate clearance and an overall length of 28 inches, so choose this version when you need that specific opening.

What does the 115 gram weight mean when I clip it to gear?

At 115 grams the S-Biner adds minimal mass to a pack or key ring while still delivering a full-size dual-gate carabiner for securing items.

How does the wire-lock mechanism work with the plastic body?

The wire lock engages automatically when each gate snaps shut, giving a secure closure without a separate sleeve or screw collar on the nylon frame.
