Heavy Duty Iron Carabiners 6 Pack

This set contains six non-locking iron carabiners with a 2.5 inch gate opening and six matching keyrings. Each clip is rated for a maximum static load of 800 lbs in fully open mode. The black finish provides corrosion resistance for everyday outdoor use.

Upgrade from Lightweight Aluminum Clips

The iron construction replaces smaller aluminium carabiners that typically handle only 66 lbs. The jump is worthwhile when securing heavier gear such as water bottles, lanterns or tools where a higher load rating adds confidence.

Not Rated for Climbing or Safety Systems

These carabiners are designed for general attachment tasks and must not be used for rock climbing, mountaineering or any life-support application. The non-locking gate and static-load rating do not meet the dynamic strength standards required for fall protection.

Questions about this item

What size gate opening does the 2.5 inch iron carabiner have for attaching to a backpack strap?

The 2.5 inch carabiner features a spring-loaded gate that opens wide enough for standard backpack straps, key rings, and water bottle loops.

How do I properly engage the spring-loaded gate so it does not accidentally unclip?

Push the gate inward until the spring clicks fully closed; the gate must sit flush against the nose to hold the rated 800 lbs static load.

When should I replace a carabiner from this 6-piece set?

Replace any clip if the gate spring weakens, the iron shows bending, or the black finish wears off exposing raw metal to corrosion.
