Bright headlamp for outdoor work and hiking

The Nitecore NU45 is a rechargeable headlamp that delivers up to 1700 lumens and throws light 188 yards. It weighs 4.44 oz with the battery installed and is built from PC material with an aluminium front housing. The light is rated IP68 waterproof and impact resistant to 2 metres.

Best for hands-free tasks needing long runtimes

Campers, hikers and workers who want a single light for trail finding, camp chores and close-up reading will appreciate the triple-output design. The primary white LED offers four levels plus turbo, SOS and Beacon. A separate reading light gives two low modes and a red auxiliary light preserves night vision or signals. Buyers who need a helmet-mounted system or a light that accepts standard cells should consider other options.

Check your charging kit and mounting plan

The headlamp recharges via USB-C in 1.5 hours and runs up to 86 hours on the lowest white mode. Confirm you have a USB-C cable and a suitable power source for field recharging. Verify that the included headband or your preferred helmet clip will secure the 4.44 oz unit comfortably for the intended activity.
