Ferrofluid Sound Visualizer

This Bluetooth portable speaker uses magnetic fluid that moves in time with audio, creating a visual display alongside sound. The sealed glass sphere contains fluid that reacts to frequencies across the audible range, making it a desktop ornament as much as a playback device. It delivers 10 W of output from an internal full-range driver with a low-frequency response down to 53 Hz.

Gift buyers and desk enthusiasts

The speaker suits anyone wanting a conversation piece that visualises music, podcasts or ambient sound in a compact 13 cm cube. It is not for listeners who prioritise high-fidelity stereo imaging, deep bass extension or the loudness needed to fill a large room, nor for users who need a rugged outdoor speaker or a multi-room audio system.

10 W full-range driver

The single 10 W internal speaker determines both the maximum volume and the bass reach, with a quoted low-frequency limit of 53 Hz and a sound-pressure level of 86±2 dB. If your environment demands higher output, lower bass or stereo separation, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What source device do I need to play audio through this speaker?

Any Bluetooth-enabled phone, tablet or computer can pair with the speaker and stream music wirelessly.

Will the ferrofluid still react if I connect an older phone or laptop via Bluetooth?

Yes, the visualiser responds to the audio signal itself, so any paired device that plays sound will make the fluid move.

How can I confirm the speaker is operating correctly after I turn it on?

The magnetic fluid inside the glass sphere will begin dancing in time with whatever music or sound is playing.
