Product Purpose

The NO. S24 E-Ink Smart Display Case is a protective cover for compatible Samsung Galaxy phones that adds a customisable electronic-ink screen on the back. It draws power and data through the handset's built-in NFC link, so there is no separate battery to charge and no wireless pairing step required.

Sustained Behaviour

The four-colour e-ink panel holds a static image indefinitely without consuming power, and the display only refreshes when a new picture is sent from the companion app. Because the case relies on the phone's NFC field for each update, continuous rapid changes are not practical; the screen is intended for occasional personalisation rather than animation or live information.

Installation Notes

The case snaps onto the phone like a standard silicone shell and the microfibre lining protects the glass back from scratches. The only common issue is NFC alignment: if the handset's antenna position varies between models, the case may fail to receive enough energy to refresh the image, requiring the user to reposition or remove the case momentarily.

Questions about this item

Does the NFC-powered E-Ink screen generate any heat or noise while it refreshes throughout the day?

The case uses passive NFC link technology with no battery or active electronics, so it produces zero heat and makes no sound during screen updates.

What phone model and app are required for the NFC projection to work on this S24 case?

You need a compatible Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or S23 Ultra handset and must install the exclusive Smart Cover app to send DIY images via NFC.

Will the case still protect my S24 Ultra if I keep using my existing screen protector and MagSafe accessories?

The slim liquid silicone shell with microfiber lining fits the S24 Ultra closely and does not interfere with standard screen protectors, though it has no built-in MagSafe magnets.
