Universal USB-C PD 3.0 charger

This 65W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 adapter supplies fast, stable power to compatible laptops, tablets and phones. It works with many Type-C charging notebooks including ThinkPad T480, T490 and X1 Carbon models. The compact, lightweight design includes a detachable power cord for easy travel. Built-in protections guard against over-voltage, over-current, overheating and short-circuit.

Check your device before ordering

Your laptop or tablet must support USB-C Power Delivery charging; a data-only USB-C port will not charge. Confirm the device accepts up to 65W or 45W over USB-C PD so it can negotiate the correct power level. The adapter operates on 100240V input for worldwide use with the appropriate cord. It is not suitable for devices that require a proprietary barrel connector or higher wattage than 65W.

Replaces original 65W or 45W USB-C adapters

This charger replaces a lost or worn factory USB-C PD adapter rated at 65W or 45W. The jump is worth it when you need a single, compact spare that also powers USB-C phones and tablets. It does not replace higher-wattage proprietary chargers or barrel-tip power supplies required by some larger laptops.

Questions about this item

Does the box include the detachable power cord or must it be purchased separately?

The box contains the 65W USB-C charger and a detachable power cord, so no separate cord is required.

Should I choose this 65W model or a higher-wattage version for a ThinkPad X1 Carbon?

This 65W PD 3.0 adapter matches the X1 Carbon’s 65W USB-C charging requirement; a higher-wattage unit is not needed.

What does the 65W headline figure mean when the charger is connected to my laptop?

The adapter can deliver up to 65W over USB-C PD 3.0; the laptop will draw only the power its PD profile requests, up to that limit.
