In-ear wireless sports earbuds

Red ActivBuds S-255 earphones sit inside the ear canal and connect without cables. They weigh 0.01 pounds and carry an IPX7 waterproof rating for sweat and rain protection. Passive noise cancellation and CVC 6.0 noise reduction help keep audio clear during calls and music playback. A lithium-ion polymer 85 mAh battery delivers up to 8 hours of operating time after a 1.5 hour charge via Micro USB.

Made for gym sessions and outdoor runs

The secure earhook design and three tip sizes suit people who move vigorously and need buds that stay in place. Hands-free media controls handle volume, track skip and calls without reaching for a phone. Buyers who want active noise cancellation, longer than 8 hours of play, or a USB-C charging port should look at something else.

30-foot wireless range decides freedom of movement

Bluetooth connection remains stable up to 30 feet from the source device, letting you leave your phone on a bench or in a bag while training. If your workout routine demands a longer tether, this model will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

What accessories come in the box and is there anything I need to buy separately?

The package includes a carrying case, short Micro USB charging cable, three sets of ear tips in small, medium and large, a cable management clip and a user manual. No extra items are required for basic operation.

Which version of the ActivBuds S-255 should I choose for the longest playtime?

The S-255 model is offered with a single 85 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery rated for up to 8 hours of playback and 240 hours of standby. There are no alternative capacity options listed.

What does the 30-foot Bluetooth range mean when I am moving around the gym?

The 30-foot (about 9-metre) transmission distance is measured in open space; walls, equipment and body position can reduce the reliable range, so keeping the paired phone on your person or nearby ensures a stable connection.
