USB-C wired earbuds with earhooks, in-line controls and a built-in microphone for calls and music
The Avantree C171 connects via a USB-C port and includes in-line controls for volume, playback, calls and voice-assistant activation. An over-ear hook design and three sizes of eartips aim to keep the buds secure during sports or daily commuting. A built-in microphone handles calls.
The earbuds work with devices that have a USB-C audio port, such as iPhone 15 and 16 models, plus most Android smartphones and tablets. They will not function with Lightning-port iPhones or 3.5 mm AUX jacks. Compatibility with the Samsung S24 is not assured.
No driver installation or pairing is required; audio and controls activate once the Type-C plug is inserted. The only common issue is a device that does not support digital audio over its USB-C port, which will result in no sound or non-responsive buttons. The 120 cm cable provides enough length for pocket or arm-band use.

The C171 uses a USB-C connector and works with iPhone 15, 16 and most Android phones; the E171 uses a 3.5 mm jack so it will not plug into a USB-C port.
At 32 ohms the earbuds draw little power, so a phone’s USB-C output drives them to comfortable volume without an extra amplifier.
The C171 plugs into the USB-C port and uses the phone’s built-in DAC, so the signal stays digital until it reaches the earbuds.
