What the SX-991 neckband is

The SX-991 is a foldable Bluetooth 5.0 neckband headset with retractable earbuds and active noise cancellation. It weighs 0.191 kilograms and ships with a carrying case. The design targets listeners who want a lightweight wireless option for daily commutes or gym sessions without tangled cables.

Who these suit and who they do not

The sweatproof build and 16-hour battery life suit runners and office workers who need all-day wear. Buyers who want more storage for offline playlists or a wired fallback connection will not find those features here. The single-ear coupling also means stereo separation is limited compared with dual-ear models.

Behaviour during extended use

A full charge takes 24 hours and delivers 16 hours of continuous playback at moderate volume. Bluetooth 5.0 maintains a stable link up to 10 meters, so movement around a room does not drop the signal. Active noise cancellation runs throughout the session without audible artefacts, and the vibration call alert remains noticeable even after several hours of wear.

Questions about this item

What Bluetooth version must my phone or computer support to pair with the SX-991 neckband?

The headphones use Bluetooth 5.0, so any device with Bluetooth 5.0 or an earlier compatible version will pair and stream audio.

Can I keep the SX-991 connected to my laptop while also paired to my phone for calls?

Yes, the neckband supports simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices, letting you switch between music on the laptop and incoming calls on the phone.

How do I know the active noise cancellation is actually reducing background sound after I put them on?

Toggle the ANC switch; you should hear a noticeable drop in steady low-frequency noise such as engine hum or air-conditioning drone while music plays.
