1963 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1500 1/18 Diecast Model

This Norev diecast model reproduces the 1963 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1500 in Smaragd Green at 1/18 scale. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging and is an officially licensed product. The model is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and features real rubber tires. It suits adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value true-to-scale detail.

Opening Hood Doors and Rear Gate with Steerable

The model includes opening hood, doors and rear gate that reveal a detailed interior and exterior. Steerable front wheels allow the model to be positioned at different angles. These moving parts provide display flexibility without compromising the true-to-scale proportions. The features run out when a buyer requires a fully sealed resin body or a larger scale for finer engine detail.

Diecast Metal Construction with Real Rubber Tyres

The diecast metal body gives the model a substantial feel while the real rubber tyres add visual authenticity. No electronic components are present so the item produces no noise and draws no power. Thermals are not a consideration for this static display piece. The finish is intended for shelf display rather than frequent handling.

Questions about this item

Will this 1/18 scale model fit on a standard display shelf with my other diecast cars?

The model measures approximately 9 inches long, 3.75 inches wide and 2.75 inches high, so it matches typical 1/18 scale dimensions and should sit alongside similar sized diecast vehicles.

How can I verify the steerable wheels and opening panels work correctly after unboxing?

Turn the front wheels to confirm they steer together, then gently lift the hood, open both doors and the rear gate to check each hinge moves freely without binding.

Does the box include a display base or protective case, or must I buy one separately?

The package contains only the diecast model in the manufacturer's original unopened box; no display base or acrylic case is included.
