What this charger does

The Novobit A2379 delivers up to 20W through its USB-C port using Power Delivery 3.0. It ships with a 6ft USB-C cable and is intended for iPhone 15, 16 and 17 models as well as iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch tablets from 2018 and 2020. An MFi chip in the cable provides automatic device recognition and full iOS compatibility.

Sustained-load behaviour

Built-in safeguards protect against over-current, over-voltage, over-heating and short-circuiting during extended charging sessions. The smart chip matches the current required by the connected device automatically, so the adapter maintains a steady output without throttling or safety shutdowns when used continuously at its rated 20W.

The deciding specification

Maximum output is 20W over USB-C Power Delivery 3.0. Buyers whose devices need a higher wattage profile — such as larger laptops or tablets that negotiate 30W or more — will not reach full charging speed with this unit. The 6ft cable length is fixed and cannot be swapped for a shorter or longer lead.

A device with a USB-C port that accepts Power Delivery input — iPhone 15, 16 or 17 series, iPad Pro 11-inch or 12.9-inch 2018 and 2020 models, or any USB-C PD-compatible gear.
