Wireless audio adapter for non-Bluetooth devices

This USB-powered adapter adds Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to TVs, PCs, car stereos and other equipment that lack built-in wireless audio. It serves as both a transmitter and a receiver so you can stream music from a phone to wired speakers or send TV sound to wireless headphones. The compact black unit draws power from any USB port and requires no driver installation on a computer.

Switchable transmitter and receiver modes

A single button toggles between sending audio from a non-Bluetooth source to Bluetooth headphones or speakers and receiving audio from a Bluetooth source to wired headphones or speakers. The adapter supports the A2DP and AVRCP profiles in receiver mode only. It provides a wireless range of up to 15 m (50 ft) in open air and up to 10 m (33 ft) indoors.

USB power only with no internal battery

The device must remain connected to a USB power source such as a wall adapter, computer port or car charger while in use. Audio travels over the USB connection on a PC so no 3.5 mm cable is needed. It handles audio streaming only and cannot transfer files or answer phone calls.

Questions about this item

What does the 50 ft range mean when the adapter is used in a typical room?

The 50 ft figure applies to open air without obstacles; indoors the practical range is up to 33 ft depending on walls and interference.

Which Bluetooth profiles does the 5.0 link support for streaming?

It uses A2DP and AVRCP in receiver mode only, so it handles stereo audio and basic playback control but not hands-free calls.

What physical connection does the adapter need to fit into a TV or car stereo?

A 3.5 mm audio cable plugs into the source device, while a USB port supplies power for continuous operation.
