Smartphone Telephoto Upgrade

The NShi 8X Optical Zoom Clip-On Smartphone Lens attaches to most phones to provide true optical magnification. It suits photographers who need closer detail at sports events, concerts or when watching wildlife without moving nearer. The manual stretch-focus ring lets you sharpen each shot by hand.

Replacing Digital Crop

This lens replaces the phone's built-in digital zoom, which enlarges pixels and softens images. The jump is worth it whenever the subject is too far for the native lens to resolve cleanly, such as stage performers or animals across a field. Optical glass preserves resolution that software cropping throws away.

Sustained Hand-Held Use

During long sessions the clip holds alignment while you adjust focus repeatedly for moving targets. The dual-role design also works as a monocular for scouting scenes before shooting. Steady hands or a supported stance keep the 11 12 magnification stable over extended periods.

Questions about this item

How wide a phone can the adjustable clip grip?

The spring-loaded clip opens wide enough for most iPhone models from the 6s through the 12 series and Samsung Galaxy S5 to S8, aligning over the native camera lens.

Which way do I turn the focus ring to sharpen a distant subject?

Extend the lens barrel by rotating the ring outward, then slowly retract it until the image snaps into focus on your screen.

Will the optical glass coatings need reapplication over time?

No, the multi-layer coatings are permanent; just wipe the surfaces with a microfibre cloth and store the lens in its pouch when not in use.
