Close-Up Macro Filter Kit 77mm

This set supplies four close-up lenses in +1, +2, +4 and +10 diopter strengths, all sized for a 77 mm filter thread. Photographers who want to shoot macro subjects without buying a dedicated macro lens can attach these filters to their existing glass.

Included Filter Wallet

A fabric wallet is bundled to hold the four filters together and protect their surfaces when not in use. The pouch keeps the set organised in a camera bag and prevents the individual lenses from scratching each other.

Fixed 77 mm Thread Constraint

The filters only fit lenses that have a 77 mm front thread, so they cannot be used on smaller or larger diameters without separate step-up or step-down rings. Stacking multiple filters increases magnification but also reduces light transmission and can introduce vignetting at wider apertures.

Questions about this item

Do the +1, +2, +4 and +10 close-up lenses need any maintenance or replacement over time?

The glass elements have no moving parts; keep them clean with a microfibre cloth and store them in the supplied pouch to avoid scratches.

Which factor limits close-up magnification first during extended shooting sessions?

Stacking the +10 diopter with the others gives the highest magnification, but depth of field becomes extremely shallow, making precise focus the practical limit.

Does the 77 mm filter kit add noticeable weight, heat or noise when left on the lens all day?

The four lightweight filters add minimal mass, generate no heat and produce no noise during continuous use.
