NShi AM Radio Safety Ear Muffs

These electronic ear muffs combine AM radio reception with passive hearing protection for shooters and industrial workers. The 30 dB noise reduction rating shields ears from gunshots and heavy machinery. An adjustable headband and rubberised ABS shell provide a secure fit during extended wear. Power comes from three AAA batteries which are not included.

Sustained noise attenuation and radio reception

The passive 30 dB NRR remains constant regardless of battery state, so protection does not fade during long sessions. Audio compression activates automatically when impulse sounds exceed safe levels. The AM tuner and bass enhancement continue operating for approximately 350 hours on a fresh set of cells. Low battery alerts prompt timely replacement without interrupting protection.

Quick setup with standard audio cable

Stretch the headband over the head and tighten until the cups seal around the ears. Plug the supplied audio cable into the input socket to connect a phone or MP3 player. The volume knob sits on the cup for easy reach. Common issues are loose cup seals from incorrect headband tension and dead batteries because none ship in the box.

Questions about this item

How much heat or battery drain should I expect if I leave the AM/FM radio running all day?

The unit draws power from three AAA cells and the maker quotes roughly 350 hours of continuous run-time, so daily use will not generate noticeable heat.

What must I supply myself before the headphones will function?

Three AAA batteries are required and are not included in the box.

Will the 30 dB noise reduction still work when I plug in an external audio source?

Yes, the passive attenuation remains active while the audio input jack is in use.
