Replacement CPU and GPU Fan

This replacement fan fits Asus ROG Strix SCAR II laptops including the GL704GW-DS76, GL704GW-PS74 and GL704GM-DH74 models. It operates at 12 V and serves as a direct swap for the original CPU and GPU cooling assembly. The part carries manufacturer part numbers DFSCK22115181C and DFSCK22105182D.

Not for Other Laptop Models

Buyers with different Asus series or other brands cannot use this fan because the mounting points and connectors are specific to the listed ROG Strix models. It is also unsuitable for anyone needing a complete cooling pad with an external USB-powered base.

12 V Operating Voltage

The fan runs on 12 V power supplied by the laptop motherboard. Matching this voltage is the single specification that determines whether the part will function correctly in the target machine.

Questions about this item

Does this fan fit the Asus ROG Strix GL704GW-DS76 motherboard screw layout?

Yes, it is built for the GL704GW-DS76 and the listed GL704GW, GL704GM, GL704GV variants, so the mounting holes line up with those chassis.

Which cable connector do I plug in first when swapping the CPU and GPU fans?

Disconnect the battery, then attach each 12 V fan header to its matching motherboard socket — CPU fan to the CPU header, GPU fan to the GPU header — before reassembling.

When should I plan to replace the thermal paste on the heatsink this fan sits on?

Reapply paste whenever you remove the heatsink for a fan swap or if temperatures climb above normal after several months of heavy RTX workloads.
