NShi Server Chassis SP-500-24 Power Supply

The NShi Server Chassis SP-500-24 is a desktop form-factor power supply delivering 480 watts of continuous power. It provides a single 24 volt output rated at 20 amps and includes active power factor correction for efficient mains utilisation. Built-in forced air cooling uses a DC fan with speed control to manage thermals. The unit undergoes a 100% full load burn-in test before leaving the factory.

Input Voltage and Protection Requirements

Verify that the installation site supplies universal AC input across the full range to match the unit's input specification. The power supply includes protections for short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature conditions. Remote sense and ON/OFF control functions are featured on related higher-wattage models such as the SP-480 and SP-750. Current sharing capability up to 2400 watts is available on the PSP-600 series for parallel redundancy.

Cooling, Noise and Power Characteristics

Forced air cooling by the built-in DC fan maintains operating temperatures under normal load. Fan speed control on the SP-320 platform adjusts airflow to balance thermal performance with acoustic output. The supply delivers its rated 480 watts at 24 volts and 20 amps with active PFC reducing harmonic distortion on the mains. A three-year warranty covers the unit under standard operating conditions.
