Desktop chassis for Delta CRPS 500W supplies

This desktop chassis is built to accept Delta CRPS 500W switching power supplies, specifically the DPS-500AB-9 A, D and E revisions. It suits builders who need a compact enclosure for a single redundant supply unit. The design does not support other form factors or higher-wattage CRPS modules.

Thermals and power draw with Delta CRPS 500W

The chassis relies on the installed Delta CRPS 500W supply for airflow and cooling performance. Noise and power draw in normal use depend entirely on the specific DPS-500AB-9 variant fitted. No additional cooling provisions or fan mounts are described for this enclosure.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Delta CRPS 500W DPS-500AB-9 power supply into this NShi desktop chassis?

Slide the unit into the front CRPS bay until the latch clicks, then tighten the two thumbscrews — the step most people miss is engaging the latch before the screws.

What maintenance will this chassis need after installing the 500W supply?

Clean the front intake mesh every few months; the chassis itself has no moving parts, so only the power supply fan may eventually require dusting or replacement.
