Replacement 45W USB-C Adapter

This NShi adapter replaces the HP OEM Z3Q87UT and Z3Q87AA power supplies. It delivers 45W over USB-C to compatible HP Pro X2 612 G2, Pavilion 15-AU and ProBook 430 G5 models. The unit is brand new and carries UL, CE, FCC and RoHS safety certifications.

Upgrading from a failed or lost charger

The adapter matches the original multi-voltage output of 5V 2A, 12V 2A, 14.5V 2A, 15V 3A and 20V 2.25A. It is a direct replacement when the factory charger is damaged, missing or no longer holds a stable current. The jump is worth it when you need a certified spare without paying OEM pricing.

Suits owners of the listed HP laptops

Buyers with a Pro X2 612 G2, Pavilion 15-AU025TX, AU026TX, AU035TX, AW001AX or ProBook 430 G5 can use this adapter immediately. It is not for laptops that require a barrel connector or a different USB-C power profile. Users needing higher wattage or a different voltage range should look at other options.

Questions about this item

Does the Z3Q87UT adapter plug directly into the USB-C port on my HP Pro X2 612 G2?

Yes, the USB-C connector inserts into the laptop's charging port and the wall plug connects to mains power.

What is the most common mistake when installing this 45W USB-C adapter?

Forgetting to fully seat the USB-C plug until it clicks, which prevents the 20V 2.25A profile from negotiating.

When should I replace the detachable AC cable on the Z3Q87AA charger?

Replace the cable if the insulation frays, the plug pins bend, or the adapter only charges intermittently.
