NTN 6217LU Deep Groove Ball Bearing 85x150x28mm electrician tool

NTN 6217LU Deep Groove Ball Bearing

The NTN 6217LU is a deep groove ball bearing built to the 85x150x28mm envelope and supplied new. It suits electricians and maintenance engineers who need a direct replacement for the 6217 size in motor shafts, pump housings or gearbox assemblies. The single-row geometry handles combined radial and axial loads in either direction. Buyers who require a different bore, outer diameter or width must select another part number.

Sealed contact design under sustained load

The LU suffix denotes contact seals on both sides that retain grease and exclude contaminants during continuous operation. Seal lip friction generates a modest temperature rise that stabilises once the bearing reaches thermal equilibrium with the surrounding housing. The steel cage maintains ball guidance at constant speed without the cage wear seen in high-acceleration starts. Installations that demand higher limiting speeds or non-contact sealing should choose an alternative shield or seal variant.
