ConnectX-7 single-port adapter

The NVIDIA ConnectX-7 MCX75310AACNEAT is a single-port Infiniband and Ethernet host bus adapter designed for high-performance computing clusters and enterprise data centres. It targets system integrators and IT teams building low-latency interconnect fabrics for storage, AI or HPC workloads.

Bracket options for chassis fit

The card ships with both a short and a tall mounting bracket so it can be installed in standard-height or low-profile servers without extra parts. A single OSFP cage occupies one rear-panel slot, leaving adjacent slots free for additional networking or accelerator cards.

Passive cooling for dense racks

The adapter uses a passive heatsink, so it adds no fan noise and draws no extra airflow in tightly packed rack rows. Power is supplied entirely through the PCI Express edge connector, simplifying cable routing in high-density chassis.

Questions about this item

What is the first bottleneck the NVIDIA ConnectX-7 MCX75310AACNEAT hits under sustained load?

The single OSFP port runs at NDR speed, so the link itself becomes the ceiling once traffic fills that lane.

What thermal and acoustic behaviour should I expect when the adapter runs continuously?

The card is a passive short or tall bracket design with no onboard fan, so it adds no noise and relies entirely on chassis airflow for cooling.

Which bracket does my server chassis need to accept this adapter?

Both a short bracket and a tall bracket are included in the box, so either low-profile or full-height slots will work.
