Compatible Canon PIXMA replacement

This new NXT Premium black toner cartridge replaces Canon original supplies for a wide range of PIXMA inkjet printers. The single pack fits models from the iP, iX, MG and MX series listed in the compatibility data. It is designed for home and small-office users who need reliable monochrome output without buying OEM cartridges.

Upgrade from empty or low OEM cartridges

The cartridge serves as a direct substitute when the original Canon toner runs out or reaches low level. Swapping to this aftermarket unit restores printing capability immediately and is worth it whenever the cost per page of the OEM supply becomes a concern. No firmware changes or hardware modifications are required for the listed printers.

Single-cartridge yield for everyday volumes

One black cartridge handles routine document printing, school work and occasional photo jobs on the supported PIXMA models. It runs out when the toner powder is exhausted, which varies with page coverage and print density. Buyers who need continuous high-volume output or colour printing should plan for additional cartridges or a multi-pack solution.

Questions about this item

Does the PRM4546B001 cartridge fit directly into my Canon PIXMA MG6120 without an adapter?

Yes, the cartridge is designed to seat directly in the MG6120 print-head carriage; no extra adapter or bracket is required.

What is the correct sequence to install the PRM4546B001 in a Canon PIXMA iX6520, and which step is most often missed?

Power on the printer, open the top cover, wait for the carriage to move to the centre, remove the orange protective clip from the new cartridge, then push it firmly until it clicks — the clip removal is the step users skip.

When the PRM4546B001 runs out on my Canon PIXMA MX882, what must be replaced?

The entire toner cartridge is replaced as a single unit; there is no separate drum or waste-toner container to service.
