Compact 12 V USB charger for vehicles

The Obeaming Small Panel is a recessed-mount USB charger designed for 12 V and 24 V electrical systems in cars, trucks, boats, RVs and camper vans. It provides two ports, USB-A and USB-C, each capable of 5 V, 9 V or 12 V output up to 24 W total. The all-aluminium CNC-milled body dissipates heat and resists vibration in mobile environments.

Simple recessed installation with a 22 mm hole

Installation requires drilling a single 7/8 inch (22 mm) hole and securing the unit with the supplied screw nut; the face plate sits flush for a factory appearance. Only 1.25 inches of depth behind the panel is needed, so it fits tight spaces such as dashboards, centre consoles, door panels or RV cabinetry. The corded electric power source connects to the vehicle's DC circuit.

Limited to 24 W shared across both ports

The charger delivers a maximum of 24 W combined output at 2.4 A, so it cannot fast-charge larger laptops or multiple high-draw tablets simultaneously. It supports Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Power Delivery 3.0 negotiation on the USB-C port, but total power is capped at the rated figure. Input voltage range is 12 V to 24 V DC only.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the charger is delivering fast charge to my phone after installation?

Check that the device shows a fast-charge indicator and that the aluminum face plate stays only warm, not hot, during use.

What hardware comes in the box and what must I supply for the recessed mount?

The charger, a securing screw nut and face plate are included; you must supply a 22 mm drill bit for the 7/8 inch mounting hole.

Which version should I choose if I need the smallest footprint for a tight dashboard cut-out?

The Small Panel version needs only a 7/8 inch hole and 1.25 inch depth, making it the most compact option in the range.
