Purpose and audience

The Oceanstar Design SB1682 is a solid wood spa shower bench with a built-in storage shelf. It suits anyone who wants a stable seat and extra space for bath products inside a shower stall, bathroom or bedroom. No assembly is required so the bench can be used immediately after unpacking.

Critical specification

The single detail that decides fit is the assembled footprint: 11.02 inches wide by 19.01 inches deep at a seat height of 17.12 inches. Measure the available floor area and clearance in your shower or room before ordering to confirm the bench will sit level and leave enough room to move around it.

Thermals noise and power

The bench has no electrical or mechanical parts, so it produces no heat, noise or power draw. The slatted, curved seat encourages even air circulation and rapid water drainage, keeping the surface comfortable and dry during normal use. Nonslip levelers under each leg maintain stability on wet floors without any moving components.

The bench occupies an 11.02 by 19.01 inch footprint, leaving room in most standard shower enclosures while providing a stable base.

Does the solid wood construction handle constant moisture without warping?

The slatted, curved seat design promotes water runoff and air circulation, helping the wood resist moisture buildup during daily shower use.

What clearance is needed for the 17.12 inch seat height when placing it under a wall-mounted fixture?

At 17.12 inches tall, the bench fits beneath most vanities and shower heads, and the nonslip levelers keep it steady on wet tile.
