Who should buy this and who should not

Buyers repairing a Lenovo G450 or G455 series laptop with the exact AB7005MX-ED3 part number will find a compatible fit. Anyone needing a different voltage, connector type, or a complete heatsink assembly should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification: 5 V three-pin connector

The cooler operates on 5 V DC and connects via a three-pin header, drawing 0.25 A. Confirm that the motherboard header supplies 5 V and uses the same three-pin layout before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Does the AB7005MX-ED3 include mounting hardware or must I buy screws separately?

The unit is a fan only with a 3-pin connector; mounting hardware is not included and must be sourced separately.

Which ADDA AB7005MX-ED3 variant fits my Lenovo G450LX versus the G455GX?

The same AB7005MX-ED3 model is listed for all G450LX, G455GX, G455LX, G450GX, G450AX and G455AZ units.

What does the 5 V .25 A rating mean once the fan is installed in a Lenovo laptop?

It draws 5 V at 0.25 A through the 3-pin header, so the motherboard supplies the exact current the ball-bearing fan requires.
