A 250-amp fast-blow fuse rated for 48 V DC and 125 V AC circuit protection
The OEM Industries CNN 250A is a fast-blow fuse rated at 250 amps for DC 48V and AC 125V circuits. It provides rapid over-current protection for automotive and industrial electrical systems. The component interrupts fault current quickly to safeguard wiring and connected equipment. It is suited for installers and maintenance teams specifying circuit protection in these voltage bands.
The fuse installs directly into compatible CNN series fuse blocks or holders rated for the same voltage and current. It requires no external control circuitry to operate. By clearing heavy overloads and short circuits in milliseconds, it frees downstream components from thermal stress. The single-element design simplifies coordination with upstream breakers.
This new fuse restores the original protection level when an existing CNN 250A link has opened or shows signs of ageing. The upgrade is worth it whenever the original fuse has operated or when periodic inspection calls for preventive replacement. It is not for circuits that demand a slower time-current curve or a different voltage rating. Builders needing a higher interrupting rating must select a different series.

The fuse is rated to interrupt at 250 amps, so sustained current above that level will cause it to blow and protect the circuit.
At its 250 amp rating the fuse dissipates heat proportional to its internal resistance; normal operation at full load will warm the element but stays within design limits.
The fuse is rated for 48 V DC and 125 V AC, so the holder or fuse block must be approved for at least those voltages and the 250 amp current rating.
