A 40 mm square cooling fan with Mgalev bearing, 12 V 2.4 W power and three-wire connection
This OEM Industries square fan measures 40 by 20 millimetres and operates at 12 volts with a 2.4 watt draw. The three-wire connector provides tachometer feedback for speed monitoring. It is intended for builders who need a low-profile cooler in tight chassis spaces.
The Mgalev bearing reduces friction and extends service life compared with traditional sleeve designs. It still relies on a single fan stage, so airflow scales linearly with voltage and cannot match dual-fan or larger-frame coolers. Acoustic output rises noticeably when the unit runs at full voltage.
At 2.4 watts the fan suits low-power CPUs, embedded boards or auxiliary component cooling. It cannot dissipate the heat loads of modern mainstream desktop processors under sustained load. Systems requiring higher thermal capacity will need a larger heatsink or additional airflow.

The 4020 square frame measures 40 mm by 20 mm, so this model matches that exact footprint.
At 12 V the fan draws 2.4 W, indicating the motor power available to move air through the heatsink.
The three wires provide power, ground and a tachometer signal; voltage regulation is the only way to vary speed.
