Compact 12 V air cooler for basic builds

The OEM Industries MW-310M12C is a black CPU air cooler designed for 12 V operation. It targets system builders who need a simple thermal solution for low-power processors or replacement units in compact chassis. No LED lighting is included.

Two-wire four-pin connector simplifies installation

The cooler uses a 2-wire 4-pin connector that fits standard 12 V fan headers. This layout allows straightforward mounting on most motherboards without adapter cables. The black finish matches neutral interior colour schemes.

Passive heatsink and fan combination runs quietly

A 12 V fan draws air through the heatsink to dissipate heat during normal workloads. Power draw stays modest thanks to the low-voltage design. The unit suits everyday office tasks and light multitasking where acoustic comfort matters.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-wire 4-pin connector carry PWM control or only voltage regulation?

The two-wire design supplies 12 V power and ground only, so speed is regulated by varying voltage rather than a PWM signal.

What clearance does the MW-310M12C need above the motherboard to fit inside a case?

The cooler stands 31 mm tall, so allow at least that much space between the CPU socket area and the side panel or any overhanging components.

How is the MW-310M12C mounted and what step is often missed?

It uses push-pin clips that snap through standard Intel/AMD retention holes; the step people miss is pressing each pin until it clicks fully locked.
