Replacement fan for legacy video cards

The ND-8015M12B is a frameless 12 V 0.25 A cooler designed to fit 9600GT, 9800GT, 5750 and 9500 graphics cards. It uses a two-pin power connector and ball-bearing construction for direct replacement of the original unit. Buyers needing a different mounting pattern or a higher airflow rating will not find a match here.

Sustained cooling behaviour

Ball-bearing operation maintains consistent rotation during extended gaming or compute sessions without the wear that sleeve bearings exhibit over time. The fixed 12 V supply delivers steady airflow rather than a variable curve, so thermal performance remains predictable across long workloads. No PWM control means the fan runs at full speed whenever power is applied.

Thermals noise and power draw

At 0.25 A the fan draws only 3 W from the 12 V rail, adding minimal load to the card’s power budget. Frameless design reduces weight and allows tight clearances around the heatsink. Acoustic output is a constant broadband hum with no speed ramp, so noise stays level whether the GPU is idle or under load.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 12V .25A motor draw when the frameless VGA fan runs continuously?

The fan is rated at 12 volts and 0.25 amps, so it draws approximately three watts under constant operation.

Which video card models use the 2-pin connector that this ND-8015M12B cooler requires?

The supplier lists the 9600GT, 9800GT, 5750 and 9500 as compatible cards that provide the matching 2-pin header.

Will the ball-bearing ND-8015M12B fit the mounting holes on an older 9800GT board I still use?

The product is described as a frameless cooler for the 9800GT among other models, indicating direct mounting compatibility with that card.
