A 250 A, 500 V ceramic square-tube fuse with knife-shaped contacts rated for 100 kA breaking capacity
The MiRO NT1 RT16-1 RO32 is a ceramic square-tube fuse with knife-shaped contacts rated at 250 A and 500 V. It carries a gG breaking characteristic and a 100 kA interrupting capacity for general line protection in industrial and generator circuits.
Installers protecting cables and distribution equipment at 250 A gG will find this fuse matches the required current and voltage ratings. Buyers needing a different current rating, a semiconductor gR or aR characteristic, or a non-ceramic body should select another part.
The single specification that decides fit is the 250 A gG rating combined with 500 V and 100 kA breaking capacity. Only systems specified for this exact current, characteristic and voltage should use this fuse.

The gG class provides full-range protection for cables and conductors. It is rated for 500V AC and can safely interrupt a 100kA prospective short-circuit current.
It uses a ceramic square tube body with knife shaped contacts designed for bolted connection in compatible RO32 fuse bases or holders.
Insert the knife contacts into the fuse base and tighten the terminal bolts to the specified torque. The frequent mistake is under-tightening, which creates resistance and overheating.
