RT16-00 NTOO NT00 40 A gG ceramic square-tube fuse with knife contacts rated 500/690 V and 100/50 kA breaking capacity
The RT16-00 NT00 fuse provides line protection at 40 A with a gG characteristic. It is built for AC circuits rated 500 V to 690 V where a ceramic square tube body and knife shaped contact are required.
The ceramic body dissipates heat during normal load without forced airflow. Rated breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 500 V and 50 kA at 690 V, limiting let through energy during fault conditions.
The knife shaped contact ensures secure mounting in compatible fuse bases or disconnectors. No separate indicator or striker is included, so visual inspection or external monitoring must be arranged by the installer.

Align the knife-shaped contacts with the holder clips, push firmly until fully seated, and verify the ceramic tube sits flush; the step often missed is confirming both contacts are fully latched.
The fuse is a single-use device; after it interrupts a fault at 50 kA or 100 kA breaking capacity, the entire ceramic square tube must be replaced with an identical 40 A gG unit.
The 40 A rating is the continuous current limit; sustained operation above 40 A will cause the gG element to melt and open the circuit at 500 V or 690 V.
