What this adapter does

The OiDiPi BT-6 is a compact 2-in-1 Bluetooth 5.3 transmitter and receiver that adds wireless audio to any device with a 3.5 mm jack. It lets you stream TV sound to wireless headphones or send phone audio to a wired speaker system.

Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-mode operation

Bluetooth 5.3 provides a stable, low-power link for both TX and RX modes. In transmitter mode the adapter sends audio from a TV, PC or MP3 player to Bluetooth headphones; in receiver mode it brings Bluetooth audio to wired speakers, headphones or car stereos.

Battery life and physical size

The rechargeable battery delivers up to 10 hours of playtime in RX mode and 8 hours in TX mode, with a 2-hour charge cycle. The unit measures 3.5 in by 2.4 in by .6 in and weighs 60 grams, so it fits easily in a bag or pocket for travel.

Questions about this item

What does Bluetooth 5.3 deliver in daily use with this adapter?

Bluetooth 5.3 reduces power consumption and provides fast, stable transmission, giving up to 10 hours playtime in receiver mode and 8 hours in transmitter mode.

How does the 3.5 mm audio jack limit what I can connect?

The 3.5 mm jack works with any device that has an AUX port — TV, PC, MP3 player, car stereo, projector or wired speaker — so the adapter pairs only with equipment using that analogue connection.

Will the 3.5 in by 2.4 in by .6 in unit fit in tight spaces like an airplane seat pocket?

At 3.5 in x 2.4 in x .6 in and 60 grams, the adapter is small and light enough to slip into a seat pocket, laptop bag or gym pouch without adding bulk.
