Ultra-wide 8mm fisheye lens with f/1.8 aperture and 180° view for Micro Four Thirds, weather-sealed to IP53 with 17 elements in 15 groups
The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 8mm f/1.8 Fisheye Pro lens delivers a 180° diagonal angle of view on Micro Four Thirds cameras, equivalent to 16mm in full-frame terms. Its fast f/1.8 maximum aperture enables shallow depth of field and low-light shooting for creative photographers and videographers. Dust, splash and freeze-proof construction rated IP53 ensures reliability in harsh environments down to 14°F.
The 8mm prime design means framing is controlled by position rather than zoom, and the lens lacks autofocus, requiring manual focus operation. The 7-blade diaphragm produces circular bokeh at f/1.8 but stops down for deeper depth of field when needed. Optical construction uses 17 elements in 15 groups including Super ED and HR glass to control distortion and chromatic aberration across the ultra-wide field.
This lens upgrades from f/2.8 or slower fisheye primes that limit low-light capability and creative depth-of-field control. The jump is worth it for shooters who need the fastest available aperture in an 8mm Micro Four Thirds fisheye for astrophotography, underwater or immersive interior work. Buyers who need autofocus or a rectilinear ultra-wide perspective should look elsewhere.

The 8mm gives a 180° diagonal view on Micro Four Thirds, equivalent to 16mm on full frame, ideal for immersive wide scenes.
It gathers abundant light for low-light and astrophotography, and the 7-blade diaphragm produces smooth circular bokeh at wide apertures.
The lens mounts natively on any Micro Four Thirds body, and IP53 sealing resists dust, splashes and temperatures down to 14°F.
