Vocalists and content creators needing

The kit covers microphone, mounting, cable and acoustic treatment for a single source. Buyers who require multiple simultaneous channels, wireless operation or a different polar pattern will need additional equipment not included here.

32mm gold diaphragm with 20dB self-noise

This capsule size and noise floor determine the sensitivity and clarity for quiet sources such as whispered vocals or delicate acoustic instruments. If your application demands a smaller diaphragm or lower self-noise figure, this microphone will not match that requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the On-Stage AS800 bundle include everything I need to start recording, or do I need to buy anything else?

The bundle includes the AS800 microphone, a shock mount, windscreen, carry case, mic bag, H&A reflection filter tripod stand, H&A broadcast arm with internal springs, XLR cable, and H&A pop filter with gooseneck. An audio interface or mixer with phantom power is required to operate the condenser microphone and is not included.

What makes the AS800 suitable for professional recording compared to other microphones?

The AS800 features a 32 mm large gold diaphragm and an exceptionally low equivalent noise level of 20 dB, capturing subtle nuances with high fidelity. Its FET condenser design handles vocals, acoustic instruments, and loud sources like kick drums across a full-range frequency response.

How quiet is the self-noise of the AS800 when used in a home studio?

The microphone has an equivalent noise level of 20 dB, which is exceptionally low for a large-diaphragm condenser. This allows clean capture of quiet sources such as whispered vocals or delicate fingerpicking without adding audible hiss to the recording.
