What the set contains

The Oneida Flight 2865006B is a six-piece dinner fork set made from 18/0 stainless steel with a mirror finish. It serves six people and suits households replacing missing pieces or expanding their flatware collection for extra guests. Each fork measures 1.7 in x 2.2 in x 9.9 in and is dishwasher safe for everyday convenience.

Durability through repeated washing

The 18/0 stainless steel resists rust and holds its mirror finish through daily machine cycles. Balanced weight distribution keeps the forks comfortable during extended meals without bending or losing shape over time. The material withstands the thermal and chemical stress of standard dishwasher programmes.

Limits of 18/0 stainless steel

18/0 steel contains no nickel, so it is less corrosion-resistant than 18/10 grades in very hard water or prolonged exposure to acidic foods. The mirror finish can show fine scratches from abrasive detergents or metal-on-metal contact in crowded cutlery baskets. Magnetic properties mean the forks will cling to magnetic knife strips or retrieval tools.

Questions about this item

How much heat do the 18/0 stainless steel dinner forks retain after a hot dishwasher cycle?

The 18/0 stainless steel construction cools quickly once removed from the dishwasher, so the forks are comfortable to handle shortly after the cycle ends.

What existing flatware pattern do I need so the Flight forks match at the table?

These forks follow Oneida's Flight pattern with flowing, sculptural lines from the 1950s; they pair with other Flight pieces or stand alone as a coordinated six-piece set.

Will the 9.9 in dinner forks feel balanced alongside older, heavier stainless pieces I already own?

The mirror-finished 18/0 stainless steel gives each fork a consistent weight and balance that complements both vintage and modern flatware without feeling noticeably lighter or heavier.
