Dual-Mode USB/XLR Microphone Kit

The ONIKUMA YU7 is a cardioid dynamic microphone built for streamers, podcasters and gamers who need one mic that works on both USB and XLR connections. It includes an RGB boom arm so the complete kit is ready for desk mounting straight away. Buyers who require a wireless or Bluetooth microphone will not find that capability here.

USB Features and Noise Reduction

In USB mode the microphone adds a 3.5 mm headphone jack for real-time monitoring, a touch-sensitive mute button, and adjustable gain and volume knobs. An 8 mm foam windshield and pop filter block up to 95 percent of plosives while a one-click noise reduction function isolates keyboard and fan sounds. These controls and monitoring features are unavailable when the mic is run in XLR mode.

50 Hz to 16 kHz Frequency Response

The microphone captures audio across a 50 Hz to 16 kHz range, delivering balanced lows and crisp highs for spoken-word content. Optimal recording distance is 26 inches when the end-address capsule is aimed at the source. An XLR cable and audio interface are not included, so XLR users must supply both to complete the signal chain.

Questions about this item

How often will the foam windshield and pop filter need replacing on the YU7 mic?

The 8 mm foam windshield and precision pop filter block up to 95 % of plosives; replace them when they show wear or no longer suppress breath sounds effectively.

What limits continuous recording time when the YU7 is running on USB power?

USB mode powers the touch mute, gain knob, headphone monitor and RGB lighting; extended sessions are limited only by the host device's USB port current capacity.

How much heat or fan noise does the YU7 produce during all-day streaming?

The dynamic capsule and passive electronics generate negligible heat and no fan noise; only the RGB boom arm lighting draws extra USB power.
