16-Port 10GbE Console Server

The Opengear CM8116-10G is a new console server built for data centres, enterprise networks and edge locations. It provides Smart Out-of-Band management through a REST API that supports Docker and Python scripting. Sixteen serial ports give direct access to connected infrastructure devices. Dual 10Gb SFP+ uplinks connect the unit to high-speed network backbones.

Upgrade from 1GbE or lower port counts

This model replaces older 1GbE console servers when 10GBase-X uplinks are required for faster aggregation. The jump is worth it when automation tooling demands higher throughput or when serial port density must scale beyond 16 ports. Models in the CM8100 series scale to 32, 48 and 96 ports for larger deployments.

Fits rack deployments with dual power and TPM 2.0

The appliance includes dual power supplies with independent monitoring for resilience. A hardware TPM 2.0 module enables secure boot for enterprise-grade security.
