All-in-One Resilience for Edge Deployments

The OM1308-8E Operations Manager combines serial console access and Ethernet switching in a single compact appliance. It provides 3.91 GB of LPDDR4 SDRAM and integrated switching to simplify edge, branch, retail and industrial deployments while maintaining reliable out-of-band management.

Suited for Space-Constrained Remote Sites

This unit suits teams that need up to eight serial ports and ten RJ-45 ports in one fanless box for immediate remote access. It is not for buyers who require more than two expansion slots, fibre uplinks beyond the listed twisted-pair and optical-fiber media, or higher memory capacity than the supplied 3.91 GB.

Verify Port Counts and Expansion Needs

Confirm that eight serial ports and ten 1000Base-T or 100Base-TX RJ-45 ports match your device-console and network-uplink requirements. Check that the two total expansion slots and two USB ports cover any planned add-on modules or peripheral connections before ordering.

Questions about this item

What network infrastructure must already exist to connect the OM1308-8E's ten RJ-45 ports?

The ten RJ-45 ports support 1000Base-T and 100Base-TX, so an existing twisted-pair Ethernet network with Cat5e or better cabling is required for wired connectivity.

Can the eight serial ports manage legacy equipment that only has DB-9 or RJ-45 console interfaces?

Yes, the eight serial ports provide direct console access to legacy routers, switches, firewalls or industrial gear that use standard serial management interfaces.

How can I confirm the 3.91 GB LPDDR4 memory and 32 GB flash are recognised after initial boot?

Access the appliance via its management interface and check the system health or resource dashboard, which reports total RAM and flash storage capacity.
