  • Duplex LC connector simplifies patching
  • DOM support enables real-time link monitoring

25GBASE-SR SFP28 transceiver

This SFP28 module operates at 25 Gbps over 850 nm multimode fibre. It reaches 100 m on duplex LC OM3 or OM4 cable. The unit carries a DOM interface for real-time optical diagnostics. It targets data-centre links that require short-range 25 GbE connectivity.

Duplex LC and DOM support

The duplex LC connector plugs directly into standard patch panels and switch ports. DOM reporting lets administrators monitor temperature, voltage and optical power without extra tools. Builders needing single-mode reach or longer multimode distances cannot use this module. Buyers requiring non-Arista coded transceivers should select a different part.

Questions about this item

How often should the duplex LC connectors on this SFP28 module be inspected and cleaned?

Inspect and clean the duplex LC connectors whenever you disconnect or reconnect the patch cord, using a lint-free wipe and isopropyl alcohol to keep insertion loss low.

What distance limit applies when running this 25GBASE-SR transceiver over OM4 multimode fibre?

The module is rated for 100 m over OM4 multimode fibre at 850 nm, so link budget and modal dispersion set the practical ceiling for sustained 25 Gb/s traffic.
