Manual focus and stop-down metering only

The adapter breaks electronic communication between body and lens, so autofocus and automatic diaphragm control are lost. You must focus manually and set exposure manually or use aperture-priority stop-down metering; lenses without an aperture ring will remain stopped down to their smallest f-stop.

Infinity focus retained across listed models

The all-metal mount secures the lens firmly while allowing easy removal, and infinity focus is maintained on every compatible camera from the D3100 through the D5 and D810. It does not add optical elements, so image quality depends entirely on the attached T-mount lens or telescope.
